We have been looking at what Jack Canfield has to tell us under his first principle of success over the recent posts. Following along with is formula of E+R = O, which stands for Events + Response = Outcome, I would like to tie that into the announcement of our first Dreaminar for 2010.

Remember that the Events of life and our Responses to those events will equal Our Life’s Outcome. The Outcome we are discussing within this blog is the Workamping lifestyle.

One of the Events you will need to understand and have a plan for when you begin your Workamper lifestyle has to do with receiving your mail, registering your vehicles.

The first Dreaminar for 2010 will address resources that are available to assist you in developing your Response, so you can enjoy the Outcome. So if you have not received information about the upcoming Dreaminar, or I should say revised information, as the first posting had the incorrect date, see the information below, and register for the event.

FEBRUARY DREAMINAR EVENT

A Dreaminar is an online event that Workamper News developed in 2009 to supplement the Workamper Dreamer website. They are live events that you attend from the comfort of your home, as long as you have access to the Internet with air card or better. Dial-up does not have adequate bandwidth to support webinars.

This will be our first Dreaminar for the New Year and we are going to jump right in with a topic that is high on the list for most folks.

One of the most asked questions by RVers who are thinking about traveling for long periods of time or joining the Workamper lifestyle is:

“How do I keep up with my mail?”

“How do I register my vehicles, if I no longer have a home residence?”

These are just a couple of the key questions you will hear answers to during the February Dreaminar.

Our Special guest will be: Larry Sroufe of Your Best Address.

What is “Your Best Address”?

They are a Mail Forwarding Service authorized by the U.S. Postal Service, located in downtown Sioux Falls, South Dakota.

Register today to join us on Thursday, February, 18th, 2010 at 2 p.m. Central Time for the February Dreaminar.

Reserve your Webinar seat now at:

Last week we discussed what produces your Outcome.  How you can blame the Event for the lack of your results, or your Outcome.   Many blame outside events and circumstances, and use them as an excuse for everything.

We discussed how you can change your Responses to the events until you get the Outcomes you want to have.  You can change your thinking, change your communication, change the pictures you hold in your head and ultimately change your behavior.  The majority of the things just listed, are highly impacted by your Attitude.  Is your bucket always empty or full?

Jack Canfield talks about giving up the blame game.  Along with this goes giving up complaining.  If you continue to see everything as negative, the probability of you reaching your dream to travel and see America, is not as likely to happen.

An additional resource that I would like to introduce to you and ask that you purchase the book, or book on audio and read it right away, is call How Full Is Your Bucket.  This book is an eye opener and helps you understand how Stinkin Thinkin can destroy our dreams and our lives.

Over the coming weeks we will relate to what Jack Canfield refers to in his first principle of “Taking 100% Responsibility for Your Life” by better understanding how your attitude has everything to do with your dream development.  The book, “How Full is Your Bucket” by Don Clifton and Tom Rath teaches and illustrates how negativity impacts our lives, and ultimately our dreams.

Please click the link below and order your copy of “How Full is Your Bucket” today.  I look forward to blending its teachings in with the Principles that Jack Canfield shares over the coming weeks.

Our first ever Workamper Campfire event will be an awesome opportunity for you to submit your question that you would like to have answered.  You will also benefit by listening to all of the other questions submitted and their responses.  This is an opportunity for Dreamers to hear questions you may not have even thought of yet, and further your walk towards your goal of joining the Workamping lifestyle.

Join us for our first Campfire event Thursday, February 4, 2010 at 2 p.m. Central Time.  If you cannot make the live event, it will be recorded and available for replay.

The purpose of this event is to ask a question that you would like to have answered.  When you click the following link you will be asked to submit one question that when answered will assist you in your dream to enter the Workamping lifestyle.

To submit/register for the campfire event, click this link:  www.askworkamper.com

PLEASE NOTE:  You do not have to submit a question to attend.  Just type in the question box – No Question and then submit.  The system will provide you with the event information.

I look forward to hearing you around the campfire!

In Jack Canfield’s book – “The Principles of Success” he shares this simple formula to help us understand the idea of taking 100% responsibility for your life, and how it turns out.

Event + Response = Outcome

Every outcome you experience in your life is the result of how you have responded to an earlier event or events in your life.  If you don’t like the outcomes you are currently getting, you have two basic choices you can make:

1)  You can blame the event (E) for your lack of results (O).  You can use the blame game and plug just about anything into the event.  Economy, weather, racism, gender bias, you spouse, you boss, the current administration, etc…

For every reason why it’s not possible, there are hundreds of people who have faced the same circumstances and succeeded.  People overcome the limiting factors, so it can’t be the limiting factors that limit you.  It is not the external conditions and circumstances that stop you – it is you!  We stop ourselves!

People place the blame for everything that isn’t the way they want it on outside events and circumstances.  They have an excuse for everything.

2)  You can instead simply change your responses (R) to the events (E) – the way things are – until you get the outcomes (O) you want.  You can change your thinking, change your communication, change the pictures you hold in your head – and you can change your behavior – the things you do.  That is all we really have control over anyway.  Unfortunately, most of us are so run by our habits that we never change our behavior.  We are a bundle of conditioned reflexes that operate outside of our control.  Everything you think, say, and do need to become intentional and aligned with your purpose, your values and your goals.

Your dream is to become a full-time Workamper.  That is your Outcome!  Take some time and list the various events that are going to have to take place for this goal to come to fruition.  What will be your response to these events?  If you don’t like the response, then come up with a new one.  Remember you are the one who is 100% responsible.

The blame game is history, and if and when you become a full-time Workamper, or whatever else in your life you become successful at, you are 100% responsible.

ASSUME 100% – NOTHING ELSE

It is time to focus your wants and desires, your dreams with the precision of a laser beam as we enter this New Year!  As I visit with folks each day I continue to hear words of hope and dreams, that this is going to be our year!  These words are encouraging to hear, and will ring true as the speaker assumes the responsibility for making those dreams come true.

You want to enter the Workamper lifestyle?  That is you dream and you have thought about it, you have talked about it with your spouse or a friend.  You possibly have even gone as far as to look at RV’s or possibly even buy one.  Have you taken a very important step and written down your dreams and goals on paper!  History shows that people who will record their goals and dreams and continue to review those dreams, have a higher probability of making them come true.

I want you to think about it this way, if you are recording your hopes and dreams on paper, and you daily begin to review those dreams, and you post them in places where you will see them daily, your mind will continue to stay focused.   You will be developing that laser beam focus that will each day bring you closer to your dreams.

This is part of taking 100% responsibility that Jack talks about in his book, “The Success Principles.”  You are responsible for the focus on your dreams.  Not someone else!

You may want to get into the blame game and develop excuse after excuse as to why you can’t become a Workamper.  When you make excuses you are empowering someone else or something to dictate your life and determine your outcome.  100% means just that… and it’s a choice and you are responsible for everything that does or doesn’t happen to you.

Doesn’t it sound exciting to develop your dream of experiencing the Workamper lifestyle?  Of course it does, or you wouldn’t be following this blog!   Have you written your dreams down?  Take responsibility to take that first step if you haven’t, do it today.

It is time to give up all excuses!  The past is the past and from today forward you make the choice to move toward your dreams and bring them to fruition.

It is exciting when you take control of the steering wheel of your life!

Until later…

It is a New Year and input from a number of our blog readers has indicated they would like to revisit the Principles  presented by Jack Canfield in his best seller “The Success Principles – How to Get from Where You Are to Where You Want to Be.”  That is exactly what we will do over the coming weeks and directly relate the principles to dreaming about the Workamper lifestyle.

Before I go any further, I wish to thank Jaimie Hall-Bruzenak for allowing me to share her blog post after her firewalling experience.  I had a couple of people share that they didn’t believe it!  There will always be skeptics, and even providing photos of 40 people who walked with her across burning coals, that wasn’t enough to prove it to them.  For those folks all I can have is sadness.  Their cups will always be half empty, and most likely will be the way they continue to live their lives.

I can tell you after visiting with Jaimie since she had this experience, she has laser sharpened her focus and I am sure will be meeting more of her dreams and goals in 2010 than ever before.

She shared in her post that the experience was to learn more about how “we limit ourselves by our beliefs.  If we push through our fears, we can do things we thought were impossible.”    Many Dreamers will never realize their dreams of seeing America one job at a time by experiencing the Workamper lifestyle.  They will miss out because of FEAR.  What experiences like Jaimie had, even though not something everyone will likely do, brings the very point to a level of clarity that anyone can push through their fears and live their dreams, if they will focus, and take 100% responsibility.

The very first principle that Jack Canfield shares in his book simply states:  “Take 100% responsibility for your life.”  This principle is actually the foundational element of his entire book, and in essence each of our lives.  If you are not living the life you desire right now, it is not up to anyone else to change it.  You can’t expect your spouse to do it for you!  You can’t expect your family to do it for you!  You certainly should not expect your government to do it for you!

We are now 11 days into this New Year of 2010!  Begin new today to believe that this is going to be a breakthrough year for you.  It can all begin with your acceptance that you are responsible for your outcome, and that includes your hopes and dreams.  How exciting the future can be when you have dreams, and you are working to bring them to fruition.

Join us today in building upon and furthering the development of your dreams!

Until later…

Jaimie Hall-Bruzenak graciously agreed to share her post with all of our Dreamer Blog readers.

Firewalking and RVing- 2010

How are firewalking and RVing related? Both are stepping out into the unknown and trusting yourself.

Last night I walked onFirewalk coals that were 1200 degrees Fahrenheit or more. My feet got black from soot but I did not get burned. Firefighters know that at 450 degrees it takes a fraction of a second to get a severe burn. Yet 40-plus people walked on these 1200 degree coals and no one was burned. How can that be? We were not hypnotized. Instead we focused intently on where we wanted to go – and we also had the knowledge that more than 25,000 people throughout history have done this before us. We also broke arrows and bent rebar with our throats and walked on broken glass. This Manifestation and Firewalk Seminar, put on by Marvin Allen of Phoenix Transformational Services of Las Cruces, NM, was about making the impossible possible. In other words, we limit ourselves by our beliefs. If we push through our fears, we can do things we thought were impossible. We open up our world.

Is stepping out into the unknown in an RV any different? We can let fears hold us back. If we push through our fears, we can live a life that is full of amazing adventures. We become new people, confident of our abilities because we tested them and succeeded. We could do it all along; we just let fears and doubts hold us back.

Back in 1992 when my late husband, Bill, and I took off in our RV we were apprehensive. We had to earn a living on the road and weren’t sure if we could do that. We focused on finding jobs with the National Park Service and worked at seven national parks over the next ten years. We more than survived. We had amazing adventures and experiences. It was one of those decisions that changed our lives and put us on a different course.

You don’t have to be rich to live the RV lifestyle. You can earn money. And, there are many free and low-cost things you can do. Walk, hike, bike on public lands is one. Many museums are low-cost or free. Visit state capitals, join local clubs for their meetings and activities. Attend church services where you travel- perhaps stay awhile and become more involved. Taking photos and exploring the history of an area are fascinating. Visit our national parks and forests; an annual America the Beautiful Pass makes each visit low-cost, or nearly free if you have an America Senior or Access Pass. The free programs available are excellent.

How about you? Is this your year or decade to begin the RV lifestyle? I promise you will have adventures and experiences you never would have in your stix ‘n brix life. Many people have led the way. It is possible, if that’s what you want. Set your intention, focus and go for it! Jaimie Hall Bruzenak

Happy New Year Dreamer!

It is always exciting to begin a New Year and think about the possibilities of what we will do differently, or how to improve ourselves over the coming year.  If you have been following our blog for a while, you know that we have discussed a number of issues and topics about keeping your dreams alive.  The beginning of a New Year is the perfect time to revisit those dreams and possibly give them new life, or add new dreams, or remove others from your dream list.

Where are you with your list?  Today is a new day and I encourage you to review your dreams.  It is also time to dust off your copy of Jack Canfield’s book:  “The Success Principles – How to Get from Where You Are to Where You Want to Be.”

There have been a number of Dreamers recently ask that we revisit some of the principles that Jack Canfield teaches in his book over the coming year.  We will begin a review and a more in-depth study as we enter this New Year.

If you do not have a copy of the book you can purchase one online here on this blog, or visit your local bookstore.  Please pick up your copy right away.  We will begin our New Year study with the next blog post on Thursday.

Happy New Year…

Until later…
