Your  journey is made up of many thousands of steps that must be taken in order to have success.  Where many come up short is they stop taking those steps.  They get very close and then give up in frustration, or lack of motivation, most of which is caused by not realizing that the whole process is part of the journey.  The Law of Attraction you will recall states that “like attracts like.”  In the case of your journey, enthusiasm towards your goals and enjoying the journey will attract others with like enthusiasm.

Begin today to realize that the daily steps you take towards your goal is just as important as obtaining it.  Think about your journey each day.  If you are wavering today, read over your goals and get back on track.

Today’s world provides us with many challenges and if we focus on the negatives of present circumstances you will at best remain even and not moving forward with your dreams.

If you are clear about your goals, and you take several steps in that direction every day, you eventually will get there.

Have you written down your goals?  Have you decided when you’d like to accomplish those goals? Be specific!  Then, review it constantly.  Each day, do something that moves you toward those goals.

Until later….

To review, the goal of this blog is simple:  to encourage you to develop your Dream to become an active Workamper (or whatever else you wish to accomplish) in your future. It is a journey, not a destination.

Everyone must have dreams in order to live life fully. One of my dreams is to provide you—the Dreamer—with as many tools and perspectives as possible to develop your dream.

I can’t live your dream for you—but, I can help you develop that dream!

What does “develop” mean? It is a progression, something that takes time and patience…thought and problem-solving.  To “develop” means to expand, to grow, to mature, to cultivate, to build up.  It doesn’t happen overnight, but it also doesn’t happen on its’ own!

The more you focus on your goals and dreams, the closer you will get to obtaining them.  If you can take the time each and every day, you will that much sooner realize your dream.

However, we all struggle with being impatient and wanting to see the fruition of our goals right now.  Don’t let the dreaming process be just a means to an end.  The journey itself can be an enjoyable experience, if you let it.

I’ll be with you on your journey,

Steve Anderson, Dream Engineer

I hope you have taken time to review your written statement and think about how much potential you have.  Continue to think about your potential each and every day.  You are totally responsible for training your subconscious to develop the paradigm that you can, and you will, live the life you desire in the future.

The second basic principle of living the life you want to live is “Want.”  Are you visualizing what you truly want, or are you compromising and visualizing just what you think you can acquire or achieve?  There is a big difference in these two.

If you are limiting yourself to things that you believe you can acquire or achieve, you may not actually be working towards what you Want, but a limited version of what you really want.  Are you limiting yourself to a scaled down version based upon your paradigm?

The principle asks you to be very honest with yourself.  WHAT DO YOU WANT?  Not what would be nice to have, or do, or to experience, but what do you really want?  We all do this at times.  For example, you might see a beautiful motorhome and think how much you want it until you see the price tag; then your paradigm kicks in and you begin to compromise in your thinking. I can’t buy something like this, so I had better be looking for something cheaper.

When you put the principle of WANT into action, you are not compromising your thinking by allowing your past paradigm programming to limit your thoughts.  You are determining “WHAT YOU WANT by writing it down in order to begin developing a paradigm that will assist you in getting what you want.

I am not saying this is easy!  We live in a world that seems to be driven by circumstances.  We base our futures upon those circumstances, and thus allow life to develop our future.  Principle Number Two is saying – YOU MUST DETERMINE WHAT YOU WANT and then begin the process of getting it.

So many people dream about living the Workamping lifestyle.  They think about it off and on, but don’t really decide if it is something they truly want!  Those that will take the time to do the exercises we have been discussing over the past weeks to determine if they really WANT to experience the lifestyle of seeing America one job at a time, have a much better probability of future success.

Take time this week to write down on paper – WHAT DO YOU WANT!

Until later…

Last week I asked you to find a quiet time to sit and visualize the life you would like to be living in the future and to write that vision down.  If you have not taken time to do that, please don’t read on until you have.  You need to have a goal or a destination of where you are headed and what it is you desire in order to develop your future roadmap.

The first principle is about “Developing your Awareness.”  This first principle is all about developing an understanding and realization of the infinite potential that flows through you and within you.  Please don’t shut me off at this point and please don’t think you don’t have infinite potential!”  We all have infinite potential and many of the reasons most people do not experience the life they would like to live, is that their potential is being dictated by others and the current life they are living.

If you have been reading this blog for awhile, we have discussed how we all have a paradigm: a set of habits and beliefs that are maintained in our minds in the subconscious.  This paradigm has been developed over the years in your life through programming from your DNA, your family, your life’s experiences, etc.  What happens to people as they live life and let circumstances dictate their futures, they begin to develop paradigms that are beat-down and restrained by a multitude amount of stuff that has happened to them. This constant beating down causes the development of strong beliefs and habits that keep the vast majority from ever being able to live the life they really wanted.  A life developed as a result of circumstances; that becomes one that you complain each day about is no life at all.  Instead, you should work toward an improved life!

No one has to be a victim of circumstances.  You have the option to change your paradigm and to develop your life and live it to suit yourself!  You do have the infinite potential to do just that. Perhaps the problem is that no one has ever told you that, so you do not have an understanding in your mind of just how powerful you can be in shaping your current and future life!  Yes, you do have that much power!

Principle Number One is about taking the time to begin programming your subconscious that you have infinite potential to live the life you wish to live.  Over the coming week find some quiet time and take your written statement of how you would like to be living and begin to believe that you have the potential to live the life you want to live.  You don’t have to convince anyone else of this.  You just must believe it yourself.  Become aware of how infinite your potential truly is!

Until next time…

To begin the study of the Seven Basic Principles of living the life you want to live, you must have a vision of what that life will be like.  This week, capture some quiet time and sit down with pen and paper and begin writing what you visualize. Turn your visualization into words on paper. This is a very powerful exercise and one that is necessary for you to develop and use the seven principles we will be studying over the coming weeks.

Do not hold back as you do this exercise and don’t worry about what someone else may think about what you write down.  You don’t have to share this with anyone if you choose not to. Let your mind begin to actively visualize how you would like to be living in one year, and then two years and then five years. See yourself living your vision and then take your thoughts and turn them into words on paper.

I know this is something you do not do every day, and possibly it will feel a little strange at first, but that is OK. It may seem strange and a bit uncomfortable because you are stepping out of your paradigm and going against the world’s view of how difficult life is and “how dare you dream of living the life you would like to live!”

Are you beginning to see why this is so important for you to do?  Do you desire to determine what your life will be through your own thoughts and actions? Or do you allow your circumstances to determine how you live your life?

Over the coming weeks we will be asking you to refer back to your written visualization of how you would like to be living in the future as we study the seven basic principles.  Keep your written visualization handy and get ready to begin crafting the life you would like to live.

Until later…
