Where Do Dreams Originate?

That may sound like a dumb question to ask?  Have you really ever thought about it?  Why do you have the dreams you have?  I am not talking about the dreams you experience while sleeping. I am talking about the dreams or goals you set for your future.

If you have been a reader of this blog for a number of months, you have read about the unconscious or subconscious mind and the impact it has upon our lives.  The imprinting that took place while you were a child and over the years due to your environment and past experiences has developed your subconscious mind to the state it currently operates.   What does this have to do with your dreams/goals?  Everything!!!

You may consciously dream about living the Workamping lifestyle one day and possibly set a goal.  Once you do, your conscious and especially your subconscious mind will go to work moving you either toward your dream or further away!  The battle that takes place between your conscious and unconscious mind is similar to a Tom & Jerry Cat and Mouse game.  You consciously believe you want to live the Workamping lifestyle, but then that inner voice coming from your subconscious mind speaks up and you think “Who am I kidding, I could never do that!”

What I hope you will take time to learn is that you can direct your subconscious thoughts that will empower your dreams and support your conscious thoughts as you work to develop your dream.  This will necessitate a willingness to accomplish degrees of reprogramming of your subconscious.   This process is referred to by many as a paradigm shift.

About now you might be thinking this is way over my head (no pun intended).  You are not alone. Many people respond with such thoughts and guess where those thoughts originated?   If you said the subconscious – you’re right!  You must be brave enough to question those thoughts.  Aren’t you curious about why you have such thoughts?

That’s enough for today!  I will close today with one of my favorite sayings “The quality of our lives is directly related to the quality and quantity of the questions we ask!”  Get curious!  Empower yourselves by asking yourself questions about why you have the dreams and goals that you have and why you live the way you do!

It is a start…

Until next time…
